After a successful performance playing for the U15 WA State Football (soccer) Team last week, our Year 9 student George Losondo is getting a trial with the Perth Glory FC U18s! His team placed second with George recording a couple of assists. Congratulations, George!

Congratulations to recent graduate Ashlee Harwood for being offered a full scholarship to attend Jacksonville University in Florida! She flew to the United States last month to commence her Chemistry/Biochemistry degree and play Division 1 softball for Jacksonville Softball 🥎. Well done, Ashlee!

Well done to Year 7 student Trent Yates who competed in the @SunSmartWA Nipper Surf Life Saving WA Championships held at Scarborough Beach at the weekend. He was awarded first place in the U12 Male Beach Sprints and second in the U12 Male Beach Flags, U12 Male Beach Relay and March Past.

Congratulations to alumni Corey Rocchiccioli and the Western Australia Men's cricket team for claiming victory against Victoria in the Sheffield Shield final for the first time in 23 years! In the first innings, Corey scored 50 runs from 29 bowls and 2 wickets from 11 overs!

Well done to alumni Rhiannon Clarke (2020) and Robyn Lambird (2014) on being selected for the Commonwealth Games Australia Team competing at the Birmingham 2022! Robyn will debut and Rhiannon will compete for the second time, after winning silver in 2018. More: bit.ly/aus-comm-games…

Our Year 10-12 Senior Boys CAS AFL team has won their grand final for the first time in Mater Dei history! Playing against Peter Moyes Anglican Community School, our boys came out on top with a resounding 18.5 (110) to 2.1 (13) victory! An amazing effort.

Our Year 8 Humanities students had a day at the Western Australian Museum last week to learn more about history and interact with the wonderful exhibits. Since their trip, they have been busy applying their knowledge from the excursion to design their own museum displays on the Middle Ages.

Congratulations to alumni athlete Rhiannon Clark (class of 2020), who returned to the Commonwealth Games podium this week after winning a bronze medal in the T37/38 100m at the Birmingham 2022! At just 20 years old, Rhiannon is now a two-time Commonwealth Games medalist!

Congratulations to our Associated & Catholic Colleges of WA (ACC) Athletics Team for winning the C Division 2022 ACC Athletics Carnival! Our team won five of the seven shields at the carnival: the junior boys and girls, senior girls, overall girls and combined aggregate.

Congratulations to alumni Kaelan Majekodunmi who will represent Australia at the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers in Kuwait that kicks off today! Kaelan, who graduated from the College in 2021 will play as a defender for the Subway Australia Young CommBank Socceroos.
