It's built on 2016 and expanded. And we know how much harm misapplication of the 2016 Guideline did. Usually you check and correct the safety features of a plane before you expand the fleet... 24/

3/Stories of suicide are not typically impulsive acts, but actions that reflect a lot of consideration for someone bearing up with extraordinary pain. A powerful intro to the #988CrisisTalk learning community is this video featuring David Covington youtube.com/watch?v=_nJdo1…

5/I hope m Michigan journalists ask who drafted this statement. ✅Every time we invoke a tragedy that has befallen people who died by overdose, or whose addiction devastated a family, I urge all of us to scrutinize who is seeking financial advantage, and how.

2/2 and the recent CO law Kate Nicholson posted about, along with the CA guideline changes. I thought this particular national wound would've taken longer to start to mend than it has, but I am glad that there have been victories on this front. Certainly brings me hope.

This Reason video (and the article) is nothing short of spectacular, succinct, compact (9 min), and details many of the issues with how the opioid crisis is politically misrepresented to the harm of all involved. Only wish it came out years prior. youtu.be/BgOha0v6BDg?si…

Rx #opioids were detected in only 8% of the urine samples that test positive for #fentanyl – far less than stimulants, cocaine and other substances. In fact, you are about 2x as likely to find two other medications -- benzodiazepines and gabapentin. #cpp rebrand.ly/u3ptkqw
