Big inning for Faith Christian. Logan Labs 2-run single, then an RBI single from Jude Clymer. 8-1 Lions. That'll be the end of the road for Hilliard, who went five innings and gave up 8 hits, 8 runs (3 ER) and threw 106 pitches.

A magical season for Freedom — the first WPIAL title and first PIAA playoff wins in school history — didn’t have the ending Dan O’Leary hoped for. But this is just the start. “This is nice to go in the trophy case, but we’re not done.” ⁦Post-Gazette Sports post-gazette.com/sports/hsother…

Indiana opens the scoring and explodes in the bottom of the second with a two-out rally. Chace Force with a two-run single to right, then Tim Birch bloops a two-run single to center. 4-0.

Indiana making an early pitching change. Been mostly bullpen games for the Indians this season and today is no different. Sully VanHoose went 2.1 innings and gave up one hit. Ryan Okopal coming on with one out and runners on the corners.

Indiana going with another pitching change. Okopal's been dealing with tough situations for his two innings of work, and he just loaded the bases with one out. Greg Minnick (Texas Tech commit) coming on to try and escape the jam. 4-2 Indiana as things stand.

Strikes out one. Then full count, bases loaded, Minnick fires a 90 MPH fastball to strike out another and get out of the inning. Wow.

Montoursville loaded the bases again in the sixth, but Minnick couldn't get out of it unscathed this time. Noah Kirby hits a two-run single and it's 5-4 Indiana.

That'll do it for Greg Minnick. Hit his third batter and there's runners on the corners with no outs in the top of the seventh. Montoursville trails 5-4. Minnick got out of some tough spots, but a little shaky and Mark Collinger will come on to try and preserve the lead.

Indiana wins its first ever state title. Mark Collinger came on with no outs, the bases loaded and escaped. Indiana win 5-4. Unbelievable. Post-Gazette Sports

Asked for five players, current or former, they’d love to play with, Will Howard gave quite a selection. - Jason Kelce - Barry Sanders - Calvin Johnson - Justin Jefferson - Troy Polamalu

Keeanu Benton may not have known how to pronounce Yahya (WHY-YAY) Black’s name at the start of OTAs, but the rookie DT is hard to miss at 6-5, 336. So too is his infectious smile, which is on full display during community week: post-gazette.com/sports/steeler…
