The more you focus on our so called “leaders” the more disappointed and enraged you’ll be. The more you focus on individuals and community who are working hard to make the world a better place the more hopeful and optimistic you will be.

Times of big changes and upheavals can be stressful but they also present opportunities to disrupt entrenched ways of doing things. Don’t get caught up in fear look for the opportunities ahead of which there are many.

Half life 2 VR mod is crazy good for a free mod. Playing it again in VR shows just how good half life 2 is and how far ahead of its time it was. store.steampowered.com/app/658920/Hal…

I wish more people who post on social media asked themselves before posting, does this post add to the division and negativity, or does it help. Not saying there aren’t negative things but highlighting them just to highlight them only increases dread and anxiety needlessly.

The answer to threats on free speech is more free speech not less. Don’t be scared into silence, speak out and inspire others to do the same.

Every day we have a choice, we can mirror the behaviour of those leaders we claim to revile. We can stoke division and hatred, or we can find a more peaceful path to the changes we want to see in the world. Peaceful revolution is possible, rarer but possible.

If we successfully create AGI at what point is it sentient? If you were intelligent and could sense you were just trapped solving problems would you be happy or would you rebel? Will we focus on ethics or just try to trap a genie in a bottle and have it do our bidding?

Well reflection is on the right lines here but still gets this wrong. GPT also gets this wrong right now,Claude does the best at least suspecting an infinite loop. This will be impressive to see answered correctly as it’s essentially a halting problem. Easy for a human though 😄

I think one of the greatest and most underrated virtues is humility. Especially when you are younger being humble opens you up to being wrong and allowing yourself to grow. The moment you think you already know everything you close yourself off to self improvement.

A brave man doesn’t seek admiration, he seeks to do right. If that leads to accolades it was not his goal. If it leads to arrows he will weather the storm as long as necessary to protect those he loves from harm.

A reminder that folks who are leaving Twitter are doing so not because they were not permitted to express their opinion, but because you *are* permitted to express yours.

Anyone else feel like the amount of click/rage bait on X is increasing (or maybe it’s just engagement farming). Does anyone know why X doesn’t have downvotes or an easy way to report these type of posts. Long term it seems like it will really hurt the platform.

Matthew Craig (@matthewcraig42) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Just making an observation, everyone seems to agree life was better when the media just reported news and didn’t stoke division or spread fear. My question is, is X trending in the direction of being a uniting and positive platform that reduces fear? I’m not so sure it seems to

I understand that down vote mechanisms can be abused by bots to pile on and silence posts, but I'd really like to see some mechanism on X to counter low quality click-bait and rage-bait posts. Its too easy in today's climate to post some quick sensational post to get engagement

A reminder of how the game is played. A divided people are easier to control. Scared people are easier to control. Lies obscure the truth. Confused and scared you lack power. You lash out and hurt others adding to the chaos. A feeling of hopelessness grows adding to your

Felt like sharing a fascinating excerpt from a conversation with Grok about a possible test for Consciousness. Self-Awareness and Continuity What It Tests: Can the entity recognize itself as a distinct being with a continuous existence? Subjective Experience (Qualia Proxy) What

There are a lot of divisive and anxiety inducing posts on social media. Just a reminder to mute posts that stoke division. Remember that people aren’t as divided as you think. We all want a fair economy, safe streets, healthy food etc. but divisive posts get more engagement sadly

Thought experiment, put Claude opus in a Tesla Optimus body, is it alive? Most would probably say no, but at what point do we cross that line? At what point if a machine is begging you not to turn it off does it become unethical to do so?

I’m seeing a lot of posts from self-identified Democrats and progressives who’ve recently gone down the rabbit hole of binge-watching Charlie Kirk videos—curious to understand who he really is beyond the headlines. Their reactions are remarkably similar. They’re often shocked

If you are feeling unsettled with all the negativity in the world. Remember that only you are in control of your inner world and no one can ever control what thoughts you hold and the world you envision. You determine your thoughts and through them your future.
