"No rush" The UK Covid-19 Inquiry hears that in May 2020, billionaire Chancellor Rishi Sunak felt there was 'no rush' to increase Statutory Sick Pay because £95.85 a week was 'adequate' for people to self-isolate. That decision forced people to choose between isolating and eating.

Dido Harding has suggested to the Inquiry that spending £3 million per day on Test & Trace consultants represented value for money. Many consultants were paid more than £6k a day. The Public Accounts Committee found there was no evidence that Test & Trace cut Covid infections.

Where is Rishi Sunak? The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has repeatedly heard evidence that Rishi Sunak blocked financial support for people isolating. That decision cost lives, yet bereaved families have been denied the chance to hear from the Covid Chancellor.

"They had no relevant expertise and were urgently seeking answers to some basic questions" The UK Covid-19 Inquiry hears evidence that the consultants being paid millions by the Government didn't have a basic understanding of how testing worked.

1/2 Yesterday Sorcha Eastwood put Keir Starmer on the spot by asking when he will keep his promise and introduce the Duty of Candour as set out in the Hillsborough Law. How ironic that his answer is rather less than candid. Ms Eastwood also referred to Chinook Zulu Delta 576.

Matt Hancock has told the Inquiry that discharging untested NHS patients into Care Homes saved lives. He says there was 'no alternative'. We know, looking at how other countries dealt with the pandemic, that there was an alternative. Lives could and should have been saved.

.Matt Hancock When you are being asked about the lie regarding the "protective ring" resulting in the deaths of thousands of care home residents, it's not a good look to attack their bereaved families. I look forward to you recanting the statement and issuing us all an apology

Today I reminded Parliament that it takes great courage to stand up to the Establishment’s deep-rooted fear of accountability & that anything less than the real #HillsboroughLawNow we were promised by the PM - and which I have reintroduced to Parliament - is a further betrayal by

This is how it works. Except now the billionaires and millionaires are trying to make you ultra racist so you don’t notice they’re the ones who have fucked your life and the planet beyond all repair.

Day 2 of TUC congress, junior vice-president Ed Harlow spoke in support of Zane's Law, a campaign named after 7-year-old Zane Gbangbola, who died after floodwater conducted hydrogen cyanide gas into his home. “None of us are safe until we are all safe,” he said.

Given that this misuse of power and position came so readily to her, we assert that Michelle Mone should have no place in influencing policy and law and should be removed from the house of Lords. Please sign our petition: change.org/p/strip-michel…

For the first time in 2 years, Boris Johnson will give evidence at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry this morning. But bereaved families have been blocked from asking him a single question after being excluded from Module 8. Children who lost parents, parents who lost children: silenced.

Boris Johnson accuses unions of "chuntering" about the safety of opening schools during the pandemic. But the Government’s failure to close schools turned classrooms into hotbeds of infection. The results were deadly for children and their families.

She's laughing in the face of everyone who has lost a family member to Covid. Yet she sits in the Lords and still holds an OBE. If you think the Government should act, sign our petition: c.org/XbVkG7Jrw4 mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/d…
