With support from EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺 , IOM is repairing schools in Beirut, North Lebanon & Mount Lebanon that were used as shelters for displaced people - making classrooms safe and ready for students to return.

Today's return movement is part of a wider effort to help Syrian refugees return to Syria in coordination with the Lebanese Government & including facilitation from الأمن العام اللبناني. During the first half of July more than 17,000 Syrian refugees registered their interest in the programme.

The return progamme entails the provision of cash assistance and other support from UNHCR Lebanon, IOM Lebanon and partners, both in Lebanon and in Syria, to help families return and settle back home. More information: unhcr.org/lb/news/press-…
