I feel like there's a few folks in A's Twitter that Rebecca Kaplan, Oakland City Council should bring on into these talks to keep this whole thing honest. The city shouldn't budge a goddamn inch on this.

Remember how the Raiders kept making headlines about other temp locations, but stayed at the Coliseum? Agreements and promises to stay/expand in Oakland are meaningless unless they’re legally binding. If they’re committed to leaving, I don’t want them here one second longer.

There’s a lot more cooking than people realize. 🤫 More on that later. But Oakland has no reason to give up 25-27 seasons for cheap. And I know for a fact they already have another tenant lined up for 2025 that will make them more than they are currently making on the A’s.

Aaron Cameron Interesting. What are the other realistic viable options for the A's to reduce leverage? Not saying Oakland can get them to commit to HT or anything, but they can deny them the Coli, which would have Owners giving Fisher the stink eye, may be leverage a sale?! Worth a try IMO.

Aaron Cameron I think that is the gamble. Is it enough for them to suffice in SLC or Reno. Can they make it on $16M TV revenue?! But let's be real, if they could survive in SLC or Reno they would have never came back to the table. It's really real. Fisher and Kaval know that.

I think Oakland officials should listen to what the A's are asking and what they're offering and then walk away. All this talk about SF, Sacto, Vegas minor league park, Utah. The A's say they have so many options. They got nothing.

Truly remarkable how quickly A's went from MLB darling back in the Moneyball days, to now being an out-and-out embarrassment for the league in every respect of how they operate. A's fans have seen it for awhile, but glad it's getting recognition it deserves. Thanks @tylerkepner
