My reason for permanent Daylight Savings Time (DST). The average American gets up at 7:30 and falls asleep at midnight. Standard time has high sun at noon, so half the daylight is gone in about the first 4 hours of your day.

Bills should be authored using Git as a backend technology and hosted on a read-only public server. Borrow the development concepts of open source projects and REQUIRE the authors to be elected representatives. Law writing should be public and only written by those we elect.

Ends up that price controls always failing is a simple extension of Consumer/Producer Surplus. It does make a nice lecture, but I need to work on my visualization and make a name for the false "surplus" that politicians use to get people to go along with them.

I always encourage my students to make sure they take as difficult of a Stats class as they can handle. In today's world Statistics will ALWAYS be used in ways that will effect you daily. You either understand it and shape how it is used. Or it will be used against you.
