Attended 7:45 Mass this morning at SLUH (just down the street from CVPA High) to pray and reflect on yesterday’s horrible events. “Blessed are the peacemakers.”

Many thanks to everyone who supported our campaign to bring different leadership to St. Louis County. The enthusiasm and support was tremendous, and I think we could have done great things. Above all, don’t give up on STL!

I don’t disagree, tho I’m no expert. Related point: I think the Blues should consider retiring their No. 7 and hang it from the rafters with three names attached to it: Berenson, Unger and Tkachuk.

What a win that would be! Honest reading of history shows that STL supports pro football. STL Rams outdrew Steelers, Ariz Cardinals for years Rams we’re here. Ownership bailed. Period.

Such a lovely expression of faith and hope.

Our government on both sides have forgotten to govern. What a shame for all of us.

I’m not in on the Chiefs…not since ownership refused to support STL.

Worse than crazy! ML ridership has declined significantly. It’s failing, a huge expense for local governments. Little accountability/transparency. Mass transit is crucial, but rail is not only option. First, review data on current ridership, financial status & cost to extend.

Geez! I’m so tired of local gov’t spending $ to figure out how to do something. Our electeds are invariably afraid to make a decision if some consultant didn’t tell them what to do. Why don’t we just elect people who know how to solve problems and have the guts to act?

Had dinner tonight with prominent Kansas Citians, who, without batting an apologetic eye, acknowledged that the new KC Airport reflected their hope that KC would attract SWA flights currently based in STL. Fact: KC is coming for us. Are we ready? Sam, Tishaura, are we ready?

Good conversation. Not suggesting that KC is Nirvana. Far from it (though, like it or not, it’s recent rate of population growth does exceed ours), but those of us who care about STL, need to continue to urge our leaders to focus on creating economic and population growth.

Losing DP cut the heart out of the Blues. This is one time the fans knew better than the staff, than Army. I will always be hopeful that Perron finishes his career in STL!

Sometimes we forget about the fact that technology can make fundamental and material improvements in the basic quality of life-for those who deserve it most. (Thinking of you, Petey.)

In the absence of a state of war, any person who references “slitting throats” of other Americans should be, by definition, disqualified from national office.

BS! So tired of condescending comments re: the Midwest! Why not show pictures of DT Chicago, the US’s largest monument or its music capital? Let’s show pictures of drug sales in Seattle and say this is classic WestCo. I’ve lived in MW most of my life & this is not my reality

What, Jane, do you think the region has issues that aren’t being addressed? Crime, trash pick up, 911, problem properties, police staffing, infrastructure…It’s just your imagination. It’s like this everywhere! Don’t raise expectations. Gov’t can’t really solve problems. Ha!
