In Mahabharat, we find reference of Spring High Tide during the Full Moon. When the moon is full or new, the gravitational pull of the moon and sun are combined. At these times, the high tides are very high. This is known as a spring high tide. (Mahabharata Udyog Parva 151:56)

I found something intresting, River Kaveri finds mention in the Mahabharata while describing the geography of Bharat. So Bharat extended till sothern tip of the peninsula
