One thing I’ve really grown to appreciate this week is the amount of highly coordinated technical brilliance that goes into maintaining the operational infrastructure of a platform that allows me to tweet “Ted Cruz can gobble my wet ass” to 100k people.

I work in Hollywood, a cesspool of broken people who are yawning voids of need, and I am genuinely stunned at how the last few weeks have revealed VC and grind culture as an even greater expanse of toadying, ego-stroking and narcissistic climaxing.

I just canceled my NY Times subscription. It took 20 minutes because I had to chat with or call their team. Their support rep kept upselling me on options instead of just outright canceling the subscription. Now I see why they don't want to make it a button in the app.
