1st November and write 4,000 words today. That's the first aim of my NaNoWriMo for 2020. Time to write and not fritter away spare time getting depressed by reading the news and checking the weather. Positivity breeds positivity - 1580 words of my 1930s murder mystery written.

Writers have an advantage when it comes to mindfulness. We play close attention to our five senses, taking notes on the smells & sounds around us, noting what our characters might hear & see in our manuscript settings. Mindfulness often comes to writers as easily as breathing.
