Aside from the obvious - Kermode, Empire Magazine - what are some of the best weekly film review podcasts out there? Please and thank you. #FilmTwitter #FilmPodcasts

Despite Jonathan Bailey's best-since-Ian-Malcolm performance and a couple of solid set-pieces, I thought Jurassic World Rebirth was a dino-sized disappointment. A tonal mutation that plays like a find-the-stones videogame. #JurassicWorldRebirth

Heart-breaking news about Diogo Jota. He absolutely loved scoring against us. Give someone a big hug today. ❤️💙 #YNWA #COYB

Film criticism, when done well, is supposed to make you think deeper about a film and engage with it in more complex ways. It is not really meant to decide for the entire population whether or not they should see something. You all have agency. You get to decide that yourself.

It used to be that a great summer blockbuster would have me excited to revisit it three, maybe four times at the cinema (Jurassic Park 9 1/2 times), but I can't remember the last time this happened. Maybe Top Gun: Maverick 🤔.

#Superman    I wanted more, but liked what we got. A bit too goofy for my tastes, but im not a comic book kid. Corenswet is fist-pumpingly good, and Brosnahan is everything I'd hoped for when she inherited the notebook and pen from Margot Kidder. Super solid. 🦸‍♂️ 🦸‍♂️ 🦸‍♂️

Such sad news. As important to my enjoyment of golf over the last two decades as Peter Alliss was all those years ago. Iconic. Enjoy the great clubhouse in the sky, Bob Bubka.

I wasn't a huge fan of The Legend of Ochi. The puppetry is incredible, as is the world building, but there's just no soul to it. I felt zero connection. A jumble of E.T., The Time Bandits, Harry and the Hendersons, and any number of much better kids flicks from the 80s and 90s.

Bring Her Back - Sally Hawkins puts Mrs. Brown to bed with an equally superb turn as the mother to another fractured family. Horror to be found everywhere; in the grief, in the grue, all which no amount of rain can wash away. I loved every uncomfortable minute of it.

There's one sequence in #TheNakedGun that had me laughing so hard that I got a headache. The rest is funny, knowing, stupid, charming, inconsistent, and perfectly in keeping with the franchise. Just a terrific 90mins at the movies.

Mad that if Happy Gilmore 2 was in cinemas then Id be looking forward seeing it this evening, when the reality is that zero awareness means I've just been reminded on my feed that it is being dumped on Netflix today.
