Back when I worked with Jeremy Corbyn we’d often eat in Finsbury P. He’d try to pay, but locals always wanted to talk community or thank him for his work. Happened so often that we had a system: he’d hand me the cash, and I’d sneak it to the till while he chatted to the owners.
