My 2yo has 2 kids named Margaux in her class. Whenever she talks about them, she refers to one as “Margaux” and the other as “Other Margaux”. A toddler mixup. Except tonight I found out that her nursery carers actually call 1 of them “Other Margaux” to differentiate them. 💀

Incredibly proud of Andrew Harrison! Completing a PhD while working full time is difficult. Add to that a global pandemic & a toddler? Epic. Congrats Andrew!!! #Twitterstorians

Very sad to read of Nell McCafferty’s passing. If you haven’t read her class book, “Peggy Deery: A Derry Family at War”, then I urge you to do so. #IrishStudies

Congratulations to our colleague, Dr Sarah Roddy on the publication of new book, Money and Irish Catholicism, published by Cambridge University Press. The book traces how ordinary people funded the Irish Catholic church between the end of the Famine and independence.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Fr Crilly. Years ago I sat in his kitchen for hours discussing the conflict, his faith, and his ministry. He is one of those people that advocated for justice during the conflict and provided comfort to many families. May he rest in peace.
