Got my seat for the game this morning, Japan vs Germany, filled by Canada vs. Australia. Almost my favourite angle to view the game. Prefer to be same seat only on the other sideline. Can see both bench’s. this way everything that happens is in your field of view.

If you just watch games on TV you are limited at times to see what is happening in transition. Serbia men vs Puerto Rico was an example. I suspected that Serbian was leaking out rebounders early. There was only one short clip on TV that clearly showed what they were doing.

lessons learned so far. - Must be able to defend ball screens in multiple ways. - shorten the time in which players have to make decision on defence. - know your individual scout - cannot be easy to scout, can you avoid, adjust, punish or prevent the opponent from their plan A

Trend I am observing is the guards cutting to the basket and then screening to get out: Spanish pick and roll action, diagonal screens for high post or a flex / back screen. No pass and cut then exit cut. Go to the rim with purpose.
