We used so many methods that Stacey MacNaught covered in her BrightonSEO talk earlier in the year - full of innovative, passive ideas for link building. And they've worked! This looks amazing ⬇️

GSC URL testing, PageSpeed Insights & the Mobile Testing Tool all show a completely different rendered screenshot for the same page (the main content is populated by JS). Anyone have any ideas why? @g33konaut, any clues? Thanks!

I've loved SERPROBOT for years, it has been the no frills of rank tracking. Waking up this morning to their new UI has been a shock though - they've modernised! Going to take a while to get used to

The difference between page one and two on a bad day: .co.uk shows: Page one .com shows: Page two A site with no href lang tags (amongst lots of other issues). Thanks Ahrefs for the easy way to build a case when you're dealing with multiple TLDs

Quick and dirty way to bulk check GSC using their new URL inspection API. Find out crawl dates, coverage, index, canonicals etc Bit of a mock up for now, but there's so much you can do with the API - amazing move by Google to release Happy to share the script if anyone wants.

Every day Google Sheets surprises me. Today: Broken international website which is showing other languages in places. =DETECTLANGUAGE - not for everyday use, but another gem when you need it!

🚨 UPDATE to URL Inspection API in Sheets 🚨 Mike Richardson has updated the script so that it will now automatically run in the background. 👏 👏 This means you can now fetch a longer list of URLs 💡 keywordsinsheets.com/google-search-…

So many ways to use the new indexing API data. Find how popular each path on your site is (super-mini log analysis?) 1) Crawl with Screaming Frog 2) CTR-A, CTRL-C from Search Console tab, paste into sheet 3) See avg days since Google crawled each path docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

=IMPORTXML() Another super simple sheets function. Today's use case: The mundane task of checking if hundreds of metas have really been updated. Especially useful when the cache just doesn't seem to ever get overridden on your local machine, or appear in any crawl!

Anyone know if there is a way to add users to GSC via the API? I.e., if you need to add a user to all your properties quickly?

Mike Richardson (@m_jrichardson) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This has been helpful visualising effects of improper href lang setup (probs more use cases as well) tinyurl.com/58tjdftj Collates traffic data across all verified domains in GSC, splitting it out by country Instructions in the sheet, saved me a lot of time v the manual job

Experimenting with how to quickly add search demand in reports without GSC imps etc Sheets function to pull in Google Trends data: =GTRENDS 1) Make a copy of the sheet below 2) Enter =GTRENDS with your keyword(s) & dates 3) See Trends data in report docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…
