Tonight was a great night for Waterford Union HS. The boys & girls team represented our school so well at Sectionals. Many qualified for State! The best part was watching the pure joy they showed for OTHERS and their accomplishments. We are Waterford and WE is greater than ME.

🚨 STATE RECORD! Bryce threw 112-1. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Kid from Hortonville broke the record the throw before him, then he threw 5 ft further.

🚨 BACK-TO-BACK STATE RECORD THROWS 🚨 Hortonville’s Ben Smith broke the D1-Boys Discus State Record with a 207-4 throw. On the very next throw, Waterford’s Bryce Ruland had a stellar 112-1 throw to further the State Record! Previous record was 201-11, set by Bryce last year.

The last couple of days have been a HS basketball fan’s dream. So many high level competitive games. I can’t remember a time WI had this many high level players/teams. Mark Miller event was amazing! Thanks Mark for putting together an event to showcase the athletes and teams!

True freshman Aeoden Sinclair (Missouri) upsets #9 Isaiah Salazar (Minnesota) 5-3 in the Soldier Salute semifinals! A second-period takedown made the difference in Sinclair's win.
