It’s been a great weekend as Event Clinical Lead for Brighton Pride, supported and mentored by the wonderful Hannah Pool - who’s also a star baker!
At the end of this weekend’s double rainbow is… St Mary’s. Double doctor plus EAC crew, supporting Isle of Wight Ambulance Service through St John Ambulance England. Great to be able to use our HCP skills to support patients here.
Massive thank you to ALL of the St John Ambulance England volunteers at Lewes Bonfire, for their contributions to great clinical care throughout. From first aiders to ambulance crew to healthcare professionals, logistics to control to command teams, it made my clinical lead role easy!
A big thank you to Steve from South East Coast Ambulance’s mental health team for delivering an excellent CPD session to our SJA County of Sussex volunteers tonight, looking at personalities and personality disorders. Some great resources available on the RCPsych website too: rcpsych.ac.uk/mental-health

Big thank you to Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex for having me as an observer last week - a fantastic opportunity to witness their finessed SOPs and teamwork, chat with the operational and support crews, and learn from the CPD and drills between missions. High standards to aspire to!
Another great day at Lord’s, as one of the five doctors providing crowd cover at the West Indies vs England test match. Thanks to the excellent St John Ambulance England team for having me back!
Huge congratulations to Myleene Klass MBE, our newest volunteer Community First Aider at St John Ambulance! 🎉 It was a real pleasure to play a small part in your training - well done! ⛑️
And that is a rap for Brighton & Hove Pride from St John Ambulance England Sussex. Its been an amazing weekend supporting those that needed it, in the Park over two days, and getting involved in the local community from the tents to the pit. #brightonpride2025 #sjapride #askme #BrightonPride
That’s a rap for Brighton & Hove Pride from St John Ambulance England Sussex, on Sunday we were joined by Myleene Klass MBE who took no time getting involved with the team supporting & treating those that needed it in the park and in our treatment centres.#brightonpride2025 #sjapride #askme
What a weekend! Brighton & Hove Pride saw us joining treatment centre FAs and HCPs in a simulation run by Luke Tester and Hannah Pool in the morning, and responding to unwell patients in the concert pit and around the event footprint in the evening.
