The Lucas County Emergency Management Agency will be hosting a Severe Weather Town Hall on Wednesday, April 30th at the Sanger Branch Library in Toledo. Interested individuals are encouraged to pre-register for the town hall by going to: arcg.is/SyyrW2.

The hottest temperatures of the season are expected this weekend and early next week. Daily high temperatures are forecasted to rise into the 90s with heat index values near 100°F. Heat-related illnesses are possible for the entire population.

Dangerous heat is expected late this weekend through early next week. High temperatures will be in the 90s with heat indices near or above 100 degrees during this time. An Extreme Heat Watch has been issued for the entire area from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

Beginning Friday, August 1, 2025, the Lucas County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) will launch monthly test messages using the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) system through FEMA’s Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) platform.
