Nate Yet election to salvation is described in rom8.29-30. Calvinists get it wrong, grounding election not in foreknowledge of us, but arbitrary decree. They have built their whole theology around this, negating the meaning of plain scripture, and bringing God's name to open contempt.

This is insane and wicked. Have nothing to do with it.

Imagine believing that God planned to redeem and therefore had to ensure that sin would happen so as to redeem and thinking this is actually Biblical and true. And not only that, countless other "christians" buying into this lie and then espousing it.

Christ was slain before the foundation of the world because God knew we needed it. If there was no need, he would have known it.

God wants all to be saved (1tim2.4) and sent his Son to die for all sin (1jn2.2), but God doesn't love them or have a plan for them? How foolish to say such things.

Reject Calvinism before it takes hold of you and you lose your ability to see reason. God has opened the way for ANYONE to be saved.

The Provisionist Perspective 🎙️🩸 Idol Killer I don't rely on the smoke and mirrors of Compatibilism. Think of Pharaoh, whom God *raised up* for his own purposes. Unless God is unjust, he knew beforehand his evil, unbelieving heart; he showed him as he was for his own purposes, rather than planned him to be evil.

There is more to faith than claiming Christ's righteousness for yourself. Faith in action is hearing and obeying the Spirit's lead. No one is compelled to obey. Without obedience no one will see God. When the day comes, we will be saved or judged by the things we do.

"Love the the Lord with all your heart, soul, strength and mind" is not Jesus "giving the Law", but a command; not an impossible ideal that should not be attempted, but a true saying of Jesus that we should live by. Of course, we will not be perfect, but God looks at the heart.

Calvinism has always been perverse.

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. He knew exactly who he was dying for. The atonement is for all. Redemption is for the faithful. The two are not the same.

Our sinful nature is not acquitted at the cross. What then has God acquitted? Certainly not the new nature in Christ, for that is spotless, without sin, and needs no acquittal of sin. What then? There is nothing else. PSA is a lie. We die with Christ, and are reborn to NEW life.
