This is what Balbuinidh, the fictional small town in the Scottish Highlands I created for my books Louder than Words and Closer than Ever, kind of looks like. In Scottish Gaelic, ‘bal’ means home and ‘buinidh’ means belonging. Buinidh can be pronounced as ‘boony’, I think!
