During June, 42 people came to the Garden House seeking support for the first time. Since April 2024, we've had over 650 new presentations of homelessness. We appreciate our staff, volunteers & partner services who provide a listening ear, a friendly smile & advice when needed.

We're welcoming Amy from Citizens Advice Peterborough to the Garden House every week! She’ll be here to offer one-to-one appointments for our guests to provide advice and support regarding benefits, finding work, debt & money management, advice with law and courts, immigration, etc.😀

Graham has become our new Homeless Health Peer Advocacy Co-Ordinator. 😀

Last month, we supported 37 people to move off the streets & into accommodation. In the hot weather, it's been even more important to provide shelter for people sleeping rough. We also facilitated 59 engagements between Peterborough City Council 's Rough Sleeper Outreach Team & our guests.

Today, we took the Health Outreach Bus to Eastfield Road guest house to provide support to those living there. We were joined by Peterborough City Council, Boroughbury Medical Centre and CPFT's Dual Diagnosis Outreach Team. 🏠👩🏻‍⚕️🧠 Another great example of partnership working! 😀

We need your help! 🙌 If you have any spare carrier bags or bags for life from supermarkets that you could donate, then please bring them to the Garden House. If you have rucksacks you no longer use then these would also be appreciated! 🙏 Thank you! 💛

In July, we welcomed 35 people to the Garden House for the first time. Since April, there's been 145 new #homeless presentations which means on average, there's at least one new person coming through our doors everyday. Let's continue supporting each person who are in need. 🙏

Gill, a Garden House volunteer & LPP Ambassador, is a keen walker & does long hikes every year. This year, she decided to raise funds for us, but being a member of Soroptimist P'boro, Gill particularly wanted to support the work our Street Chaplains do for women in the city. 💛

In August, we welcomed 246 people to the Garden House and gave them the support and advice needed. Altogether, over 1,700 visits were made. The last time we had higher totals for a month period than this, was back in March. #Homelessness #Peterborough #Charity
