I don’t like seeing ‘ward of the week’ prizes because that ward has the most discharges or they sent most people to discharge lounge. The idea is so flawed. Teams do so much more, numbers of discharges is not an indicator of good care. All for boosting morale, but do it right ❤️

My daughter almost had moments like this taken away from her. 5 months ago, a drunk person was driving a car and hit my brother. Weeks in intensive care, life changing injuries. On my birthday, I’m just thankful they still get the chance to have moments like this❤️

When I first saw these dates, my heart sank. The government cannot allow these strike to go ahead and must negotiate. I fully support medical colleagues in their battle.

On antibiotics for tonsillitis, went into alarms to set reminders, forgot I am a nurse, found my old alarms for every half hour of the day 😅 any other nurses phones like this? Some days I would genuinely be giving multiple IVs or critical meds every hour of a shift!

Not sure what it is this last week, everyone seems a bit tired and stressed. The dark nights and cold/wet weather playing a part maybe. Lots of coaching conversations to help people through it ❤️ take care of each other people
