This and Frontier were the most mind-expanding games I ever played, and it's a credit to Eric Heberling that his soundtrack stands up to the other.

Emacs using LLMs to write Emacs LLM functions to make writing Emacs LLM functions easier. I know forking VSCode is the cool thing to do but I have rebooted my .emacs.d from scratch recently and it genuinely feels like the text editor version of hard takeoff.

Do you think that VCs will be interested in giving me tens of millions of dollars for my new AI coding environment when they find out it's Emacs?

After 33 years of people (subconsciously, actively, desperately) wondering where the iconic commentary sample in the Gazzetta Football Italia title music came from — with help from Natalie Gedra, Jack Lang and the craque himself, O Diplomata, heitor — we have the answer...

If you're a celebrity that wants to pretend to be cerebral and play chess, I will charge £1000 per social media post to check that you've set the board up correctly.

I think people are sleeping somewhat on how powerful modern Emacs powered by LLMs can be. Your editor writes functions to make writing editor functions easier and easier and easier, in ways you _could_ have done with elisp before but would probably sigh and not bother.

I have a sort of part-time, quasi-religious belief that this is one of the cleverer optimisations the universe uses, as a side effect of consciousness. Also the reason we'll never meet aliens - snapping together two complicated timelines like that would be too expensive.

Missed that it was 5 years since Garry passed. Given recent events, perhaps we'd have all fallen out by now (he was a rare breed: a staunchly Zionist Zen Buddhist), but I've always liked this photo of him taking time out at the pub after an Opta Pro Forum to share his knowledge.

She should have been allowed to do her little speech, and then been subjected to ten minutes of grilling about the bits of the union flag her dress got wrong. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Saw this announced today and immediately wondered what the worst book to turn into a Choose Your Own Adventure would be. My brother correctly suggested Lolita. Then I noticed there was an option to make it cyberpunk. I can only guess what milestone 3 is. 😬kathaaverse.com

If the GoF had just put Monads in the Design Patterns book and called them something dull like Function Decorators, we could have saved decades of snark and angst.
