Haven’t been able to determine the outcome of this issue as of yet. Seemingly no comment from Northern Cricket League on the matter - unless we have missed it? Clubs will need to know sooner rather than later if there is a case to answer, for various reasons. #LCNW

A worrying DM has landed in our inbox this evening 📥 It is being muted that Trimpell CC 1st XI which play in ICS Accounting Westmorland Cricket League Divison 1, may well be on the brink of folding. Player availability seems to be the bone of contention surrounding the speculation. 🤞🏼 #LCNW

Sad news, but not uncommon. As Mark Holmes reminded us last night. In recent years, Ambleside Cricket & Windermere CC have opted to ‘fold’ 1st XI’s rather than 2nd XI’s due to player/competitive reasons. Not sure how scenarios like this can be avoided, unfortunately. Thoughts?
