Why do fathers get praised for things that are expected of mothers? Our kid is unwell so we’ve both taken time off work to be at home. My colleagues tell me how amazing he is to do that but I don’t get a well done.

Just seen a news article that a kid I taught has died. Looks like he killed himself. He was 22. I taught him when he was in yr9 and yr10. I’m so sad for the life he has lost, for his friends and family. He was a cool kid. Our students never really leave us.

Why oh why do we do two written assessments each for all of KS3?! Followed by reports & yr10 assessments. This time of year is a killer. Only dept who does 2 per yr group. All with the same deadline. We must be insane!

I’m 2 weeks into exam board marking and I’m withdrawing. It’s just too stressful and apparently according to my Team Leader I can’t get it right. It’s too demoralising and making me feel so shit. I’ve done it before & never felt this crappy. Makes me lose faith in the system

The tale of two Team Leads. Marking for an exam board for 2 different specs. 1st TL made me continually stop to check, change marks when in tolerance etc. I’m super behind & unmotivated. 2nd is positive, trusting & encouraging. Meeting all deadlines. positivity = success

I’d love to progress my career to Head of 6th but you can’t even get on the tutor team without being a HoD and my one is a lifer! I’ve been tutor & deputy head of house younger yrs but can’t get near 6th form unless I’m a Head of English. So annoying!

This yr I did some GCSE marking & A-level moderating with the same exam board. I’ve been paid on time and in full for A-level. Nothing for GCSE, chased it & they’ve said it should be at some point in the next few weeks. Reminds me why I hate it so much!

I moderated coursework for an exam board this year. To send the scripts back to the centres it cost me £200 in postage! I now have to claim this back. Who has £200 spare?! Why can’t pre-paid envelopes be given? Makes life harder than necessary

My midwife kept dismissing my swollen leg & foot even though I have a blood clotting disorder. Said it didn’t matter unless it was in both legs. I now have a pulmonary embolism from a travelled dvt. I’m so annoyed

Any mums out there ever had a pulmonary embolism whilst pregnant? Know I have one. Have been told v little. Would love some insight
