Mountain Brook girls beat Southside 1-0 and Briarwood defeats Spanish Fort 4-1 in the Class 6A semifinals. That sets up a rematch of last year’s state title, which Mountain Brook claimed.

A lot of the teams that made it to state the last few days were foregone conclusions. But seeing some of my friends like Kyndall White, Lauren Stewart, Blake Gray and Christopher Reeves fight and claw and battle and get their teams to state against the odds...super proud for y'all!

Well guys, Saraland did it. The Spartans played five games in a row over the last 11 hours and won 4 of them. Saraland knocked Wetumpka, Baldwin County and Spanish Fort out of the South Regional and will be at state next week. Wow.

It certainly wasn't for a lack of effort. Hewitt Softball 🥎 put forth an inspiring effort at the East Regional this week, despite not advancing to state this year. That senior class won a lot of games over the last 3-4 years. See what head coach Taylor Burt had to say about her group.
