They only see what they want to see. When unsatisfied, they would rant. Why not put themselves in the shoes of those people they would hate? Try to understand where they are coming from. You never know what other things must they consider before making such decisions.

People differ. May act the same out of same interests, hobbies but never will everyone think alike. Same ideas? Yes. But people won't come up with those ideas the same way. We process and judge thoughts on our own. We may share the same beliefs, but each has own justifications.

No one will ever be the best for you, if the only person you see is yourself.
