My favorite part was how the guest articulated why I don't like the word hallucination for LLMs. Hallucinate implies the brain did something different than it should have, but an LLM always does the same thing, whether it is right or "hallucinates."

Hear about tracking your time, but need help figuring out how to do it? Here's a case study on how I do it in hopes it'll help you think through what would work for you: ksm-csed.medium.com/how-i-track-my…

I’m thinking about my next blog post, and I’m wondering if you all would find it useful if I create a Trello board template you can copy for a teaching staff task tracker. Basically, a generic version of the board I talk about in this blog post: ksm-csed.medium.com/how-i-track-th…

I really enjoyed this episode and appreciate how Luther discussed reducing the process to fit time constraints. This process especially seems useful for the first day of class!

I'm excited to announce our paper in the ACM Transactions of Computing Education Journal is out! It's the most comprehensive look at student help-seeking in CS courses in terms of data richness that I've seen in the literature. doi.org/10.1145/3716860

Something recently happened that made me notice one of my own expert blind spots. So, I thought I'd write up a quick blog post to share. Helping Students Connect the Dots: The Power of a Class Plan Slide medium.com/@ksm-csed/help…

I decided to feature 'Meet the Professor' in an episode because I loved how it is a practice for large courses. I especially enjoyed the conversation because I got to hear how the practice has evolved since the experience report came out in SIGCSE TS 2024!
