Is this the new US? Masked "police" pulling folks off the street? I've seen some authoratarian BS before but this is disgraceful. Intl students pay a fortune to get US education (a business!), and many become HQPs in the US. Check out this article: cnn.com/2025/03/27/us/…

You've got to be kidding me!!! "Do not intervene"?Authoritarianism 101: create an environment of fear of challenging unjust or illegal orders. You as a supporter and citizen with rights MUST challenge them or they will bulldoze you! What an idiotic and cowardly policy!

This is what leadership looks like! And such an important message. Take a risk. Non-violently, be an obstacle and intervene when students are grabbed off the street or colleagues are forced out of their office, health notices get pulled down, etc. "Good trouble", indeed.

Absolutely should seize the moment and take leadership in Biotech by recruiting. BUT we need to make sure that we boost the BUDGET funding this work first! Though we welcome more, Canada already has outstanding researchers who are struggling to stay funded. Let's do both!!! 😎

What a great panel and topic!!! Equitable partnerships are what the world desperately needs these days and this panel can speak to this better than virtually anyone I know. Great opportunity!

Such a great display of what we can do when we trust in science and smart people capitalize on basic research discoveries....years in the making but the rewards are sweet when they come! Let's crush another one! ScienceUpFirst | LaScienced'Abord UBC School of Biomedical Engineering

Delighted to work with on an inspiring and important project with a great team of investigators. Attached YouTube video tells more but it would be wonderful to see more great minds working on this disease.

This is a terrific editorial by the good Dr. Zandstra that hits all the key points for Canada's future science and R&D success! Kudos!!! Opinion: Canada’s U.S. brain gain is risky without more foundational support for science /via The Globe and Mail theglobeandmail.com/business/comme…

Scientists haven’t been “frankly scared to ask the question”. There are 1000s of studies in the peer-reviewed literature showing no link between autism & the MMR vaccine. Progress has been slow because neurodivergence is complex & multifactorial. Jay is not being truthful.

Such an important and misunderstood disease. Also so frequently misdiagnosed with devastating results. Thanks Yane for highlighting this on the day of Immunology! Everyone please thank those Immunological giants who are responsible for our quality lives..truly remarkable!!
