fully agree w op that writers shouldnt be demanded to be good but— did people ever stop to think that “”””bad””” writers will eventually become good writers, just by experience and continued writing alone, which wont fucking happen if u drive them out before they can improve.

i actually think creating an environment that lessens people's fear of creating something bad is precisely what allows people to take risks and make something great. yes, a LOT of people will make bad art in that environment, but i don't think that's so scary.
