What mainstream media is reporting isn't true. The prosecutor-general is in no position to announce "abolishment" of morality police. Such a decision would be announced by Supreme National Security Council or the Interior Ministry. This seems like a distraction tactic.

Seven and a half months after these headlines, the “Morality” police is “officially” back in the streets of Tehran, a top police official has confirmed, just two months before Mahsa Amini’s anniversary.
