Students participated in their Arc 2 Debate today. 8th grade discussed the benefits and harms of social media on teens. 7th grade discussed are robots or humans more suitable for space exploration. I hope students feel more confident in writing argumentative essays next week!

Late Post Alert: It was so busy at KMSSI last week. We closed out our Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated Kindness Week and hosted our partners from the RELA office. We are truly IN FULL BLOOM. WE ARE KETTERING!!!

Congratulations to our KMSSI baseball and softball players! On Monday we celebrated our 8th graders and cheered on both teams as our girls advanced to the play offs. WE ARE KETTERING!

Happening this week at KMSSI! The Sankofa Mobile Museum will provide our sixth grade students with a rich experience and extend learning beyond the classroom. Thank you Xiomara Sánchez for your leadership on this project. More photos to come!

Last week we had our Boo Bash costume party and today ELIGIBLE students enjoyed a PBIS Skate party. We ❤️our students.

Principal Appreciation month 2024 was UNMATCHED. They concluded it with a pep rally. My new pep squad was in full bloom. My cheerleaders were on point & guess what ya’ll? They invited my 40+ DDC Sisters! I also received a handmade silk bouquet of flowers made by students. ❤️❤️❤️

Our 6th graders have only known Principal Strother for one quarter and just like that..they ❤️ their principal and their school. WE ARE KETTERING! INFULLBLOOM! Happy Principal’s Month!!!
