In the past week, we were part of the unique and timely #NCCAPThreeYouth workshop as Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry State Dept For Environment & Climate Change consulted youth in the development of the third National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP). GIZ UNICEF Kenya Modester Lynn🇰🇪

The 3 day workshop included capacity building on youth identified priority areas, from an initial mapping exercise. These areas included Climate policy & regulatory frameworks, climate finance, Energy & transport, Agriculture & Land use; all facilitated by youth State Dept For Environment & Climate Change

The youth were then able to discuss and present priority actions to #NCCAPThreeYouth in the different sectors based on their expectations and what they are collaboratively able to implement Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry State Dept For Environment & Climate Change GIZ UNICEF Kenya

There was a call for more of such meaningful youth engagements in other climate and environmental processes. Further for the young people present to be TOTs & promote climate information sharing to fellow youth within their communities State Dept For Environment & Climate Change GIZ UNICEF Kenya
