The 10th fairway bunker is finally being filled in, with all the rain we have had up on the Fell. It has been too wet to get any machinery anywhere near it. Hopefully, it will be graded bt the close of play tomorrow, then turf next week. #greenkeeper #greenkeeping #winterwork

The course isn't looking too bad at the moment. Growth has more or less stopped even on the greens. Soil temps on some of our greens have been down to 1°c the last few mornings, but our PH has now come down from 8.5 to 6.8, so at least we are heading in the right direction there.

Now we are finally back up to 3 full time staff, we can start to see the difference out on the course. More staff means we can do the extra cutting, and verticutting. What i would do for a few days without a thick dew, so we could get a decent cut on the semi-rough and fairways.
