Brilliant day in Glasgow yesterday with Samantha and the wonderful Occupational Therapists all delivering excellent services. Thank you for hosting us and we will definitely be back to learn about the many other brilliant services across Glasgow 👏

🧵This week we were travelling around Scotland visiting brilliant occupational therapy services and meeting with Universities delivering the Occupational Therapists of the future. We started in Edinburgh with the super OTs based in the Astley Ainslie community hospital.

Then we hopped over to Edinburgh Napier Occupational Therapy to meet Fiona Maclean and team. It was great to hear about all the amazing research happening and the vital role occupational therapists have within the research space in Scotland. Find out more here: napier.ac.uk/courses/msc-oc…

Then we travelled through to Glasgow where we met with Samantha Flower Louise Watson Shona Ballentyne who kindly organised a packed agenda highlighting all the great work the many occupational therapy teams are doing. Also got a look into Horatio's Garden Charity in the Glasgow sunshine ☀️

Day 3 was spent in Aberdeen with OT_RGU and Thérèse Lebedis OBE and many other great occupational therapists all doing innovative work under challenging conditions. Never has occupational therapy been more needed but yet more squeezed. Time is now to protect & grow the workforce 👐
