People keep trying to boil this loss down to ONE thing. It’s a myriad of things! It’s racism, it’s misogynoir, it’s Dems failing people, it’s Republicans failing people, it’s lack of education, it’s willful ignorance, it’s Zionism, it’s voter suppression, it’s EVERYTHING!

The right-wing shift is a global problem and there are so many contributing factors, from radicalisation and misinformation online all the way to poor journalism.

This sounds frivolous in the grand scheme of things but we need to support archivists, protect public libraries, protect journalists, writers, artists, photographers, and filmmakers. We need to continue to keep culture alive and educate our youth.
