"Experience matters" is such a dumb concept. Some experience (like Cuomo's) is very bad. Donald Trump certainly has experience, at this point, with being President. And it's pretty horrific! Barack Obama had very little experience when he became President. And he did just fine!

One reason we ended in this mess is much of the left responded to anger over the migrant crisis by saying "Applying for asylum is legal"... as if the mere act of seeking it makes the claims valid. Yes, it would've been more humane to turn most back at the border than have this.

Part of the issue is that the median America does not have a coherent position on immigration, and gravitated to Donald Trump because (like his promises on wars, etc) he promised he had a magical, easy solution. And most swing voters didn't listen any deeper than that.

Donald Trump is an extremely stupid man with very few real policy preferences who has simply done what mainstream conservatives have wanted 80-90% of the time since he entered politics. They have wanted to bomb Iran. He bombed Iran. Pretty straightforward.
