Pretty cool. I threw a number of resources at a notebooklm and had it generate a tutorial video on solo rpg-ing. (yeah...I've gone kinda nuts getting RPG stuff since I discovered that this was a thing. Basic Fantasy RPG is a pretty cool find, btw...)

Between React Conf, Remix Jam, and Vite Conf, it's information overload. I'm just gonna wait to see which of the announced things are still around in 3 months

After watching the Remix 3 demo, I'm getting BackboneJS flashbacks. I dunno. Maybe I'm not building cool enough stuff to constantly be hitting the problems ppl have w/ react. But reserving judgment until I use it. But at the minimum, the event module is really interesting.

Having seen and survived more than a decade of political insanity in tech, my recommendations for healthy open-source projects are simple: - No politics in open-source (left or right) - No COC, language policing, political banners, or any other divisive and inherently

I do wonder if there's some sweet spot of having Remix 3 narrowly focus on the component model and allowing other libraries to handle reactivity.

AbortSignal is a cool API, but it's also quite dangerous in practice See, for example, how Ryan wasn't 100% sure that the line was needed, despite web platform expertise Now, imagine adding a seamless "await delay(1000)" anywhere below => it reintroduces the race condition

david.tsx Basically this x.com/ryanflorence/s… Right now feedback on code would pretty much just be noise. We're quite incentivized to open source the code as soon as it makes sense to

Reading the comments here, it is really strange how many people simply hate react or web dev in general, yet keep in it. Why not use something else? Even stranger is the non-web devs who have such strong opinions here.
