I know we all have collective amnesia about the HiT Model Era being so unbelievably plain and rudimentary, but there’s this scene from S8’s Halloween. So, the engines have probably only scene Skeletons in the form of Halloween decorations and related media, and nothing more.

For the last few months — I have been editing a project with an amazing team. Because of this project, my team and I are going to attempt to save any media that we can — so the fans can enjoy it. These assets will help us finish the definitive Allcroft cut of Magic Railroad.

Earlier this year, I saved about 200 assets to do with Thomas and the Magic Railroad from being thrown away, with only 7 days to spare. This lead carty™ and I down a path which means we will now be building the cut of the film Britt Allcroft wanted.

Included are literally all of the ADR, voice lines, for all versions, stems for the final film, rough cuts and god knows what else. we are going through everything slowly but we have all of the audio components to produce this version, most of the video too.

We wanted to keep this a surprise and actually run this through the distributor of the film, but the auction coming out of nowhere means that we would like to ask people to try to refrain from bidding on the tapes, so that we may have a chance to preserve them with-

-the right gear and equipment that would justify the money being spent - we want the fans to be able to see this, and we want the best result here for everyone. The last thing we would want is these disappearing.

This is one of those things where we are trying to do something for the greater good. the plan with the film is to make a few different audio options that will feature all the train voices and then go through the distributor and have it officially done.

I think the thing that really sums it up is, just today, Rick Siggelkow said to me on the phone "I can speak for Britt, production-wise, and I fully endorse and believe that she would be happy that it is you and carty™ doing this" -- so that's where I'll leave this.

The story is long and complex but one of my colleagues from Noddy put me onto this as some of his stuff was being discarded. So I rescued it -- but also noticed magic railroad stuff on the list - so it literally fell into my hands lol.

There are few people qualified to work with some of these formats but I've got the time and experience and proof of such things. And it was either grab them with Noddy or let them get chucked. I couldn't live with myself if the latter happened.

If there's a higher power they certainly have a sense of humour given the trouble this film caused me (unjustly) in 2020 and my actual good history with it.

Wonderful - some may even say magical - to finally see this come through into fruition, to at long last see the proper Director’s Cut of TATMR. How fitting that news of this should be announced during the film’s Silver Anniversary. An absolute BIG THANK YOU to Carty & his team!!!

Peculiar as this might be, we have ZERO clue on: -What she stated in her last will of testament. -Her estate finances, and if money had to be raised. -What authority she granted to the executor of her estate. Give Britt’s family some curtesy before jumping to nasty conclusions.
