The Health Psychology lab at Carleton University Department of Psychology killed it at CPA this past weekend! #CPA2022 First up, second-year MA student @ForgetGen presented a 5-min talk on specification curve analysis (SCA). Gen is an absolute statistics genius and I can’t wait for her future work on SCAs
Had a great conversation today with Joshua Remedios and Sean Alexander on overcoming writing issues in academia. Thanks to everyone who attended/asked questions/shared ideas. And special thanks to Dr. Andrea Howard for moderating! #PickeringCentreforHumanDevelopment
Unbelievable. I have many TA hours/duties to complete before end of term that I might not get paid for. I could not in good conscience recommend that anyone attend Carleton University for graduate school. Shame on President & Vice-Chancellor of Carleton University & L. Pauline Rankin
Imagine being a panel speaker on how leaders can improve mental health but also being a leader that effectively stole wages from grad students President & Vice-Chancellor of Carleton University
A poor decision and doubling down by Jerry Tomberlin L. Pauline Rankin makes this a very dark time Tamara Carleton. With no relation to what actually happened during a TA strike (= no missed work in my classes), their hours were cut ensuring that we cannot properly assess student work. 1/
A quick reminder that that Carleton University "leaders" vindictively cut hours and took pay from their grad students. Not sure how that is "prioritizing' the mental health and wellbeing of their community #ChallengeTheConversation 🤔
Yes, especially grad students whose wages were stolen by Carleton University leaders. I'd think repayment would be a practical solution President & Vice-Chancellor of Carleton University, but I doubt that was mentioned #ChallengeTheConversation
