At my son’s baseball game in Abbotsford, just spotted a boy, about 8, wearing a t-shirt bearing Santa’s image that reads, “I do it for the ho’s.” Don’t even know what to say.

Heard quite the story today from a passenger who said his American Airlines flight Sunday night from DFW Airport to YVR was delayed when the pilot announced that the first officer wasn’t vaccinated and wouldn’t be able to fly to Canada. They found an emergency backup.

Last night, a cousin in Edmonton mourned the fact that the Oilers took Jesse Puljujarvi with the fourth pick of the 2016 NHL draft and the Flames took Matthew Tkachuk with the sixth pick. Canucks fans are like, “Ha! Losers! We got Olli Juolevi with the fifth!”

Sweet Eddie Willes. Phenomenal writer, great reporter, told important stories and had unique opinions. I was lucky to work with him; buy his books! Oh, and I never met someone who could throw a golf club further. One of a kind. Kudos Ed Willes!

This guy down the row from me slept through the entire first period of the #canucks game and, you know, it’s hard to blame him.

In the past two-and-a-half weeks I’ve been invited to two Canucks games that they’ve lost by a combined score of 10-2. Both times the host has apologized profusely for the team’s performances, lacklustre and disinterested. Poor guy, paying to watch that crap.

Great piece of marketing received by email from the #canucks tonight. No shame in framing a game between the worst team in the Eastern Conference and a team that would be tied for second-worst if it were in the East as Islanders-Oilers circa 1983.

During my decade running Province Sports, Steve and Howard Tsumura enjoyed a quiet battle over who could produce the most bylines. Even when Steve was sick the first time, he didn’t want to take time off because there were so many stories to tell. Selfless, tough bugger. Go Steve!
