Watching 2016 National Champs on ACC Network and decided to search Clemson Football feed from that night. Access + "Content Velocity" were still new back then. Now, both are common across #smsports. Amazing to reflect on the industry's progress in short time. Bonus: 👀 Max Huggins GTS!
Had connectivity issues from field (bc of course), so took a picture with my phone of Carl Ackerman's DSLR screen in order to get a low-res file that I could post quickly. Still got 400+ RTs, 800+ likes. Content doesn't have to be impeccable—just has to be good.
Each win, Jeff Kallin would come up with witty headline for final score graphic. Nailed this one. And his Natty logo, too! Philip Sikes was live-tweeting from press box. He pressed send on this one. Goal back then (& still now) is to press tweet same moment as final whistle.
At the CFP, Max Huggins asked if he could use Abba's "Dancing Queen" for #WeWinWeDance video if we won the Natty. And I said yes. (seriously, that was legitimately the plan 😂) Sadly, no real locker room dance party, so this was all we got. Some dreams aren't meant to come true...
The Players of the Game (David Platt & Brian Hennessy) in the car with DW and Boulware. No one slept that night. We're all so fortunate to have captured & shared content from a championship. Glad to say we didn't take it for granted & squeezed all the juice out of the orange.

Jonathan Gantt Nik Conklin One of crazy parts for Nik and I was... Arrived at stadium at like 10 a.m., left stadium at 3 a.m. postgame, went back to hotel for a nap and drove back at 6 a.m. to beat team back because we had SportsCenter on-site at return. What a 48 hours.
