It is once again time where it’s socially acceptable to have trains in your living room. My grandfather’s old American Flyer still works a charm despite surviving a fire and three different floods.

I know it’s one thing to make digital fan models of “what-if” model series characters, but actually seeing them in real life g1 is so entirely different, between this and Richard I can’t wait to see who comes to life next.

Alternate timeline in which the 1953 BBC pilot was successful leading to a full model series being made which would then later catch the attention of Walt Disney leading to a whole “Saving Mr. Banks” saga in which Walt had to convince a persnickety Awdry to agree to the film.

Do you ever look at other Marklin engines and wonder what characters could have looked like if they'd been introduced in earlier seasons, like Arthur or Murdoch?

Twice now, a car has been driven up the Snowdon Mountain against the rules, and had to be taken down via the mountain railway. It’d be funny to see a story in which Caroline is stolen for a joyride and taken up the winding hills of Culdee Fell, and the rescue that’d follow.

On my trip back home for Thanksgiving this year, I was given some old ornaments by my father, which included a 2006 Hallmark Thomas and a present truck. I had almost forgotten about them after all this time, for being made in 2006 it’s proportions and detail are surprisingly good

As someone who’s really looking forward to getting the Lego SS Endurance it really sucks that the lifeboat model was only available for such a small window, I really hope Lego will do another issuing of it when the set is back in stock because these resellers are outrageous :(

Do you ever think about how the man who built this could not and wont ever comprehend what it would go on to be? Imagine building seven little trucks and then having one just randomly survive a century later as a beloved television prop, without ever knowing of television period.

People have wondered how the art of the Renaissance wouldve differed if the artists weren’t forced to create religious artwork I often wonder something similar about Lego What theyd create if half of their sets didnt have to just be re-releases of the same branded sets constantly
