UFL kicker Jake Bates is signing a two-year deal this week with the Detroit Lions, per his agent Marty Magid. Bates visited the Lions, Packers and Commanders and opted to stay in Michigan, where he kicked in the UFL. His longest field this season was from 64 yards.

In honor of Tavon Austin retiring… The greatest highlight video in football history

Our first night game since 1960 was an absolute thriller!  A packed house with an electric atmosphere, filled with students, families, alumni, and friends. The energy was off the charts!  And what a finish – a heart-stopping, come-from-behind victory!  Go Hornets!

Though my season didn’t go as planned due to injury, I am forever thankful for @CoachGustavCUAA, Herm, Joshua Schumacher, and the rest of the staff at CUAA for helping me grow as a person, athlete, and Christian. I am excited to continue playing at my next home.
