First meeting of Harvard Medical School's biweekly RL and the brain seminar tomorrow at 1 PM in WAB 236! We're doing a journal club on a paper from the Namboodiri (Vijay Mohan K Namboodiri) Lab: Jeong et al. 2022,"Mesolimbic dopamine release conveys causal associations" science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
Just finished presenting work on causal inference and navigation at #SfN2023! Based on an ongoing collaboration between the Angelaki Lab (esp. Valentina Vencato and Jean-Paul Noel), the DeAngelis Lab, and the lab of Jan Drugowitsch.
Xprint alert! ⏰ With John J. Vastola, we present "The Hidden Linear Structure in Score-Based Models and its Application" in the NeurIPS 2023 workshop on Diffusion Model. What can we learn about image diffusion models from studying the diffusion of Gaussian? There is a lot!
The seminar returns on Thurs, Jan 25 at 1:30 PM in WAB 236! Our first speaker is Ryan Badman (Ryan P. Badman) from the Rajan lab (Kanaka Rajan). Dr. Badman's talk is titled "Forget and forgive: a neurocognitive mechanism for increased cooperation during group formation".
The ML from Scratch seminar at HMS returns next Tuesday (Feb 20) at 5 PM in WAB 236. The first session will be on generalized linear models (GLMs). Kiah Hardcastle has graciously agreed to be there to answer your GLM-related questions! For more info: github.com/DrugowitschLab…
Next meeting is Thurs, Sep 12 at 12:15 PM in WAB 236! The speaker is Zhang-Wei Hong (Zhang-Wei Hong) from the Improbable AI Lab (Pulkit Agrawal). His talk is titled "Reconciling Heuristic with Reinforcement Learning via Constrained Optimization: Algorithms and Applications".
