Five games and two months without an away win for #CFC. The team played good football in the first half of the season even if not every result went their way. They would pass and move. Now they just pass, pass, pass in slow motion, with little imagination, taking the safe option.

Chelsea 22/23: 12th, 3rd Round Exits of the FA Cup + Carabao Cup, Champions League Quarter Final 23/24: 6th, Semi final of the FA Cup, Runner up of the EFL Cup 24/25: 4th, 4th Round Exits of the FA Cup + Carabao Cup, Conference League Last 16 Net spend in that time = £680m

If you take out the Conference League, where Chelsea have routinely fielded teams more expensively assembled than the rest of the competition combined, Enzo Maresca has a 50% win rate at Chelsea so far (14/28). Maurizio Pochettino had a 51% win rate when he was sacked.

Maresca still insists Chelsea are ahead of schedule but their form - and performances - have been poor for a while now. Mood not helped by his comments after the Brighton defeat. Piece here on why he and his side need revenge at the Amex tonight. skysports.com/football/news/…

A moment in the first half when one fan in the east lower just shouted “You’re boring, Enzo”. Impression is the fans are behind the team but that the “environment” is simply down to the manager. Whether or not that’s fair it just doesn’t feel like an easy fit #cfc

Another post-match error from Maresca. Not the first time he's suggested fans are wrong to question he and his players. Surely not deliberate, but the communication toward the fans is high-handed, condescending. They have a right to show they don't like what they're seeing

Starting James, Palmer, Jackson... Against Legia Warsaw... When you're 3-0 up... And haven't beaten a side 14th or above since mid December... And are DESPERATE for Champions League football? Madness.

Dougie Critchley (@dougiecritchley) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Enzo Maresca started Palmer, Jackson, James, Sancho, Cucurella... And they lost to the 5th best side in Poland. I don't know how anyone can't be seriously concerned about this project's direction nearly 3 years in.

Silva said ahead of this game it was like a ‘final’ for Fulham. They’re playing that way. Intensity, aggression, pace. Chelsea the complete opposite. Another 45 like that and it gets very sticky for Maresca

Joe Shread (@joeshreadsky) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Much better second half and huge result for Chelsea and Maresca. Great moment for George too. Champions League hopes still alive. As for Fulham, amazed Silva took so long to make subs. Threw away Fulham’s momentum

Granted they play for sides with different styles, but Chalobah's possession stats hold up against Huijsen's. Don't buy the argument that Fofana's absence has been key to Chelsea's drop off

"He is very very consistent at a very high level." says his national team coach, significantly more credentialed than those trying to sell him at club level.

Chelsea reportedly refusing to match Milan's very reasonable asking price for Mike Maignan, a clear upgrade and a goalkeeper who is amongst the best in the world, because they don't want to pay a "Club World Cup tax" Having bought 49 players under the Boehly Clearlake

Devastated about Diogo Jota. Tried to pay tribute here. A great guy and an inspiration. His parents were still paying subs for him to play for his local team at 16. If there’s any consolation it’s that he achieved more than he ever dreamed. skysports.com/football/news/…
