Brexiteers have had nine years to outline and deliver a British economy with less ties to the EU that is better for the country. They failed, preferring internecine feuding instead. Isn’t it just logical now for any neutral observer for someone to see if more ties works instead?

Worth remembering the EU won’t get any better access to UK fishing waters, but their existing quota system due to expire next year will be continued UK will get better, easier access to EU market for agri food albeit at the cost of folllwing rules in the way Swiss agreed to

You can agree with Starmer's deal, or you can disagree with Starmer's deal. But the reality is none of the concessions to the EU - and they are there - come close to the concessions granted by Theresa May, Boris Johnson or Rishi Sunak.

Though its conclusion may be redundant in minutes, this is a very good explainer of the process in Lucy Connolly’s appeal. Will Lucy Connolly win her appeal against sentence? – BarristerBlogger barristerblogger.com/2025/05/18/wil…

Really not sure what the issue is here Do they want the dog killed? Released to run wild? What's Chris Philp's alternative? Surely he's not just after a one day crap headline?

Trying to get home from SW Wales & our train is cancelled when we arrive in Cardiff - a driver appears to have got lost But GWR not helpful at all as what other services we can take This is what train companies get so wrong They should bend over backwards to help

Passenger comforts appear to be the last priority for GWR No reason to go 1st class on long journeys; very little sustenance provided; unlike with other long routes, actual food & alcohol is extra In standard the trolley just sells rubbish A captive market wasted Joyless

Taken with apologies from the local Facebook group Penge has huge amounts of excellent public street art but this one, next to a McDonald's, has caused something of a stir as it the words appear to have been painted over I've no idea who covered it

The most noticeable aspect of this video is the wretched state of Newark in the background That square should be thriving yet is filled with empty shops (I'm assuming it's not a market day btw) It's a depressing place And what is Jenrick doing about trying to rescue Newark?
