saw an early screening of #TalkToMe last night (thanks A24 & FANGORIA) & was impressed by some rad original moments i hadn't seen in a horror movie before, especially how the kids responded to the supernatural elements. really stuck with me, worth your time

dang XTRO (1982) exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations! went in expecting a nothing plot barely excusing a D-grade practical alien monster, came out charmed by a compelling family drama with grotesque body horror and absurd comedy elements, more THE BROOD brood than MAC & ME

watched the last episode of HOW TO WITH JOHN WILSON today. what an incredible show, one of my favorite comedies from the past decade, could not more highly recommend.

started ADVENTURE TIME: FIONNA & CAKE today & love it so far! - half-hour episodes are well paced & let the emotional moments breathe - super refreshing shift in tone/more mature (i.e. PG-13) subject matter—cusses! blood! ennui!—i am here for it - beautiful animation of course
